John Thomas

Dear Members,

It is with great sadness that we share the news that John Thomas, a long-time member of the Evergreen Club, has passed away.

John had been in various care homes and hospitals over the past 18 months, during which time his health declined rapidly.

John and his partner, Janice Godfrey, were central figures in the Evergreen Club for many years. They were both keen dancers, and many will remember John leading the Thursday tea dance.

John’s funeral will take place at Markeaton Crematorium on Thursday 7th May at 3:00pm. Afterwards, there will be a gathering at The Markeaton. Amanda, Janice’s daughter, has said that anyone wishing to pay their respects would be very welcome to join them.

Our thoughts are with his family, and all who knew John at this difficult time.
